Judy will contact Randall to obtain the chapter checkbook and records from him.
General Election Election of officers and directors for 2010-2011 will take place at the general meeting to be held May 22 at Saints Pub & Patio in conjunction with the annual chapter crawfish boil. Judy will send an e-mail to the entire chapter membership soliciting nominations for the positions of President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, and six seats on the board of directors. Members are encouraged to suggest names of people who might be interested and able to help guide the chapter in any of the above roles. (Self-nominations are certainly welcome.) Persons nominated will be contacted to confirm that they would be willing and able to be considered for the respective position(s). From those names a slate of nominees will be presented at the meeting. Additional nominations will be accepted at the meeting, just before voting for each position.

(7:05pm First pitch) Our chapter will be recognized on the scoreboard and the T-Bones mascot will make an appearance with our group. There will be fireworks after the game. Special pricing of $10.50 per person. More info will be made available at the crawfish boil and on the chapter website.
SEC Bash Saturday, August 21 has been set as the date for the 2nd Annual SEC Bash in Kansas City. The location has yet to be secured. Discussion included sites, food, sponsors, coordination with other SEC groups, entertainment and promotion. Jim and Judy agreed to look into specific aspects and report back to the group.
Tickets to LSU football games The chapter has acquired four tickets (adjoining 45-yard line seats) to each of the 2010 home games. The group considered ways to best use them, with the primary goal being to enable chapter members to attend games in Tiger Stadium. A secondary goal is to raise some money for the chapter. The decision was made to raffle two pairs of tickets to the LSU-Alabama game, and to use a bidding method to get the remaining tickets into the hands of chapter members who would like to use them. Games include Mississippi State, Sept 18; West Virginia, Sept 25; Tennessee, Oct 2; McNeese, Oct 16; Alabama, Nov 6; UL-Monroe, Nov 13; and Ole Miss, Nov 20.
The November 6 game between 2009 National Champion and SEC rival Alabama and LSU in Tiger Stadium is expected to be the highest profile matchup of the season. A limit of 100 raffle tickets will be sold at $25 each. Two will be drawn after all tickets are sold, with the winners each getting a pair of tickets to the game. That’s a 1-in-50 chance to win two tickets to what could be one of the best games in college football in one of the best venues in the country for just $25! The raffle will be announced at the crawfish boil and will be promoted via the chapter website. The raffle is open to anyone.
Tickets to the remaining six games will be distributed via a bidding system on our website. In this way we can assist chapter members in attending LSU home games they want to see in person. Bids are for pairs of tickets. Winning bidders will have option to take one or both pairs at the winning per ticket price. Should he/she not want the second pair, the tickets will be made available to the second-highest bidder. Bids close at midnight on June 30. Winning bidders must be paid members of the chapter for their bid to be confirmed. Payment must be received within ten days or tickets will be offered to the next-highest bidder. A “Buy It Now” option will be available to anyone wanting to ensure access to tickets --- for $260 per ticket, bidders can purchase on or two pairs to any of the six games. Should the minimum bid not be reached by June 30, the bidding will be opened to non-members. The website bidding will be announced at the crawfish boil and will be promoted via the chapter website.
Next meeting The next meeting will be the general membership meeting on May 22 at Saints Pub & Patio. While food and fun will be the highlights, time will be made during the afternoon to elect officers and directors for the coming year, and to conduct other chapter business.
